Controller/ HR Manager required for Vegreville Ford:

Our current controller/HR manager is moving to another management position within the company and will be responsible for the structured training and integration of the successful applicant.

Responsibilities:

·         Accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards

·         Recruitment and hiring of employees and ensuring appropriate recruiting is conducted, interviewing practices comply with employment laws and all employment documentation is maintained according to applicable laws

·         Perform new hires orientation, create training plans, maintain the employee’s handbook, ensure all employees are educated on company policy and manage the employee benefits program

Qualifications:

·         Minimum of a diploma from NAIT/SAIT’s Accounting and Finance Program or equivalent

·         An accounting designation (CMA, CGA) is preferred

·         Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a similar position in a small-to-medium sized business
