Family Courtworker (Full-time): Native Counselling Services of Alberta, St. Paul. Is seeking an individual to assist clients in Family Court to explain their legal rights, options and responsibilities. Duties: The Family Courtworker will ensure clients understand processes and procedures and advocate/speak on behalf of clients; In addition to court duties, the Courtworker will act as a liaison between parents, youth, children, Children Services, and other community resources to address identified needs; Provide counseling, support and referrals to strengthen the family unit in order to eliminate the need for Children Services involvement; Provide mediation services for individuals involved within the Family Court and the Children Services systems.
